Kelly loves trashing people in Boggle! (or as my cousin calls in "Boogle")
Actually, got trashed by Hui Min once today. Was being very stupid and not seeing much words. I was mortified when she saw "bleed" and I didn't. Oh well.
I just realized that the library doesn't only lend books out. And I'm not talking about CDs either.
The library also lends out slaves. Yes, us!
We wereb playing untimed Boggle after typing in a few hundred numbers when Pn Ruth came in asked to borrow two librarians. Since we weren't working, we went with her. (Yes, and we can't count. Three of us went instead of two.)
We wee told to tape up or use whatever method to cover up the gaps in her shelves so that dust wouldn't be able to get in during the re-wiring. I was the "tall girl". Emily was the "tape-san" and Hui Min was the "other person" and the "scissors-san".
After we finished, we had to do Pn Mary Ann's room as well. and the cupboards outside. What really struck me when we were doing it was how quiet and deserted the place was. It really seemed like we were preparing for war, sealing up stuff before leaving, hoping that it would remain intact during the battle.
(Did I go too far?)
Who cares. I feel so lazy now. Want to draw but I don't feel like drawing. Sucks right? Weird more like.
Listening to "Bedtime Stories" in the background is annoying. All the songs about fire...
Anyway, here's my current favourite song.
Never Alone - Lady Antebellum (It's a band!) & Jim Brickman
May the angels protect you
Trouble neglect you
And heaven accept you when its time to go home
May you always have plenty
The glass never empty
Know in your belly
You're never alone
May your tears come from laughing
You find friends worth having
As every year passes
They mean more than gold
May you win and stay humble
Smile more than grumble
And know when you stumble
You're never alone
Never alone
Never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn't goodbye
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone
I have to be honest
As much as I wanted
I'm not gonna promise that cold winds won't blow
So when hard times have found you
And your fears surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone
Never alone
Never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn't goodbye
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone
So when hard times have found you
And your fears surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone
Of Rubik's Cubes, Boggle and Monopoly Deal

HAHA. had nothing else to put as a title. Anyway, this is the story of the day:
We were told that there would be no electricity in DJ from 10a.m. to 2p.m. today, so we made arrangements so we would not be bored. I brought my Rubik's Cube and Boggle. Pn M brought her Monopoly Deal (Monopoly without a board).
At 10, we were wondering why the electricity was still on. At 10.45, everything went of suddenly. After the few seconds taken to comprehend, we shouted for joy. We could play!
We waited for Pn M to come, she was freezing herself in the BBM room before the electricity went. Then we played Monopoly Deal. At first, we were so confused, looking at the Quick Start Guide all the time. As we played, we got the hang of it. Halfway through the game, the electricity came back! But we played on. Sadly, Pn M trashed us. *sigh*
Then she went off to class and set a target for us to finish keying in until. We finished that. I mean they finished that and we played Monopoly Deal again. Without Pn M to trash us, Hui Min graciously did it instead.
After that, we went to Boggle, which Hui Min has never played before. However, she was experienced in word games so it was great playing with her. But, Kelly's still the best! I trashed them in 2 out of 3 games! Hui Min beat me in the last game by one point. ONE point.
The Rubik's cube was passed here and there as we typed in barcodes. I still haven't worked it out but I'm glad they solved my cube. I can play with it now.
I learnt a new trick with the cube today, thanks to my cousin. :) I'm so gonna show it tomorrow. If I've mastered it. It's seriously so cool.
Anyway, off to Mafia, Farmville and chat now. Later! :)
Sould Have Said No

I should have said no,
I should have stayed at home,
I should have just taken the easy way out,
Tell them I didn't have time...
I should have stayed at home, facebooking, mafia-ing,
I shouldn't have done it,
You shouldn't have given me so little time,
I should have said no,
And maybe I would be in a better state tonight.
don't ask. it doesn't even go with the tun of the song...
just seemed like something nice to do instead of starting of with a really long rant.
why oh why did I do it?
do what? a lot of things...
I've done a lot of things that I regret.
And this just adds to the long list of regrets...
let's hear a story:
One fine day, Kelly went to school as usual and got the keys from the Dreaded Slave-Master. She opened the library, took a brief trip to 4 Balau and played with a broken Rubik's Cube.
Then, after much prompting from the Dreaded Slave-Master, she got to work doing stock check wondering how we could all finish it in two days.
The stock check was fine. It wasn't as tiring as the days before and she was in an okay mood. The okay mood turned into an optimistic mood when people from 3 Balau and 3 Belian came to help. Work was getting done really quickly amnd it seemed like there was hope of finishing it in time. Kelly even thought that she could start doing the Dreaded Slave-Master's summary that day.
She went home at 4.30 with a little headache. The headache was forgotten as she got home and took a bath. Suddenly, she remembered the little blue thumbdrive sitting in her bag. It had been delivered by a prefect from Pui Cheng, the president of the Leo Club and Kelly was supposed to get some stuff printed by the next day.
She asked her father whether it would trouble him so much to send her to a print shop to get the stuff printed. He didn't mind and they happily set off. Her optimistic mood turned to dread as she realized there was way more than 20 pages - which was her estimation - to be printed.
Time flew by as Kelly watched the guy print page after page, document after document. She was starting to get worries. It was 5.40 and they had already been at the print shop for half an hour. Knowing that her father usually leaves at 5.30 sharp to find a good parking space and pick her brother up, she considered many possibilities, neither of which was better than the current strategy: wait.
Finally, the printing was completed. Kelly smiled in relief. The man took the stack of papers to the back of the shop and began counting them. Occasionally, he would stop to make a little note. Kelly stared at the man, hoping that it would be done soon.
Just as she thought he would never finish, the man straightened up and heaved the pile of papers toward her. After briefly consulting his partner, he showed us the amount. Kelly drew in a breath. She had been given RM50 by Pui Cheng to pay. It turned out that RM50 wasn't near enough! (What do you expect, there was 302 pages to be printed!) So she had to borrow money from her dad.
She half ran out of the shop, hoping her dad wouldn't be too mad about the long wait. Wishing she had told Pui Cheng she couldn't print it, she waited for the long lecture to come. It didn't come. Instead, her dad complained about giving so little time for her to get so much printed. She nodded, glad for not being the subject of his scoldings.
She rushed home and realized that her headache had returned. Wishing she had taken a panadol earlier, she rummaged through the fridge in search for it. After a while, she gave up and went online to rant. Sadly, Hui Min wasn't online so she chose Siew Ho instead.
After deciding not to spoil his day anymore, she composed her newest blog post... Which is HERE!
awww. it sounds like a happy ending.
not exactly how I felt just now, but waiting a while before completing this post has made me less angry and frustrated and diminished the feeling of being a total failure.
Therefore, I can conclude that if I had finished my post just now, it wouldn't be half as optimistic as it was.
...but there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it"...
such a pessimistic line for an optimistic, inspirational song...

NOW I'm frustrated.
not only does no one but me (and ying-yi today) bother to stay back to stock check and in the afternoons it's either just me or two of us (plus half an hour's work by the form 4s) doing it! It's stupid and crazy. I remember when I was in form 1 and all forms (except form 5s) were involved, most of us bothered to stay back so that we can finish it faster. And it only took 3-4 days to compete all the spots.
but now we are being PRESSED FOR TIME.
I estimated that we would take 2 weeks to finish it. Which is not bad, considering we have 16/17 people only and 25 thousand books (give or take a few hundred).
And that was fine, we get to elude the horrible boringness of being in a practically empty classroom as the attendance is usually single-digit for our class. AND you don't have to worry about not having enough time.
Sounds nice?
Darling Slave-Master Pn M just found out that we are expected to FINISH EVERYTHING BY TUESDAY!!!
Let me ask you, seniors or fellow form 3s who have been involved in stock check before, have we ever been able to complete a single stock check (including arranging all the books properly) in...
A WEEK?!
I say no. But we have to. Because on Tuesday, the pejabat will be moved to THE LIBRARY.
I might die.
Luckily, we'll only have plugs for their computers near the racks so we probably will still have Pn M's room to do all the Pengkelasan-ing (hey, it's better than stoning in class).
...
At 4.30p.m. today, we have finished keying-in 000-300, 400-700, 800, 900, SPM and PMR reference books and Malay fiction. Chinese is incomplete and there's still a stack of English fiction that is undone. We also still have a rack full of yellow spot that my team members seem to have bypassed.
And it's just KEYING-IN! What about the arranging?? That can take AGES depending on which section you're doing.
Spots are relatively easy. Malay fiction is a KILLER. 000-900 is quite terrible. Chinese is not so bad as there isn't that many. English will also be quite hard. Plus, I'm not even sure there is enough space for English. It seems to have taken over a rack that was used for Chinese fiction.
*screams in frustration* Hmmm... Where's the Rubik's cube?
The phrase is *screams in frustration and messes up the Cube*

seems like I have been promoted. Now, my jobs include:
Pn M's...
~slave-driver (the second)
~ rubbish-thrower
~random-stuff do-er (e.g.: killing the date stamp on her pictures, playing with Word - inserting photos for Datin and putting weird captions and just weird stuff)
and a NEW job:
~SMS-er (in BM some more)
Life as a No Post (NP) is pretty weird.
PPS:
I must be optimistic. We might just be able to do the impossible.
IF people bother to stay back and help.
But I shall be at home.
Resting, worrying, researching about MPS and thinking about camp!
PPPS:
I'm not heartless. Just super-frustrated.
Some people don't even bother to show up in school.
It's YOUR duty as well.
Just do it.
Won't kill you.
Actually, not doing it might seal your doom.
I might get so frustrated that I'll murder all of the ones who are not HELPING.
Form 3s I mean.

it's not easy.
my definition would be:
"a time of year when the poor form 3 librarians skip class after PMR and put the library in turmoil and then puts it back together and then the poor naib pengerusi has to do the summary for the evil Slave-Master and also slave-drive the not so poor juniors (and sometimes seniors) about. Be sure to expect back-breaking (if you're doing spots/000-900 books) and loads of frustration. Stay away from the Slave-Master unless you want an extra pile of work. (oops. only applies to some... the sad ones. like the naib pengerusi.)
lol. sounds so self-pitying. but i'm annoyed. no, i'm tired.
lugging piles of 300, 400 and 500 books kinda makes you a little tired after that. if you're fit, that is. which i'm not.
now my back hurts. i should have carried smaller piles. but WHO CARES. i wanna get fit!
wow. somehow, i'm thinking about MSSD next year already. just another worry in my pile of worries for 2010. YAY.

it was the night before the KH exam for PMR:
I was too lazy to do the latihan that Pn Heah gave us and anyway, I already have that book that the school photostated from. My other model papers were completed so I had nothing to do.
I was rereading the book Eragon. Suddenly, I lost my mood for reading and felt like DRAWING! Spying some recycled paper, I grabbed my stuff and started drawing the dragon on the cover.
it was a very quick sketch (half an hour) but I was pleased with it. However, I didn't have enough time to draw the scales properly.
So I promised myself that I would re-draw it after PMR and compare.
Lets see...
Half an hour work (completed on the 12th Oct)

and now, see the difference...

hmmm. read the inheritance cycle? as in Eragon, Eldest & Brisingr?
no? doesn't matter.
if yes, you should know that the cover of Brisingr is a dragon. DUH. a golden dragon.
don't know where i'm going? well, i think it's pretty obvious. take a look at the title of the post.
so if 1+1=2, it adds up to: I drew the dragon on the cover of Brisingr.
nice? i'm really proud of it. took me 4 DAYS to complete it.
might be one of my best or the best i ever drew. :)
OH, by the way. please COMMENT. let your thoughts be heard.

randoms:
i need inspiration!
crap! literature!
anyway is a nice song :)
You can spend your whole life buildin'
Somethin' from nothin'
One storm can come and blow it all away
Build it anyway
You can chase a dream
That seems so out of reach
And you know it might not ever come your way
Dream it anyway
God is great, but sometimes life ain't good
When I pray it doesn't always turn out like I think it should
But I do it anyway
I do it anyway
This world's gone crazy and it's hard to believe
That tomorrow will be better than today
Believe it anyway
You can love someone with all your heart
For all the right reasons
And in a moment they can choose to walk away
love 'em anyway
God is great, but sometimes life ain't good
When I pray it doesn't always turn out like I think it should
But I do it anyway
I do it anyway
You can pour your soul out singing
A song you believe in
That tomorrow they’ll forget you ever sang
Sing it anyway
Yeah, sing it anyway
I sing, I dream, I love
Anyway
Somethin' from nothin'
One storm can come and blow it all away
Build it anyway
You can chase a dream
That seems so out of reach
And you know it might not ever come your way

there's no point worrying about the outcome.
if you've done enough, it should be fine.
if you haven't been doing much, there's no point worrying and grieving when it's bad.
